Previous Successes

The following are previous entrants to Inverness Music Festival

Janice Kelly who is now a soloist with English Opera.

Anna Massie was the 2003 Winner of BBC Radio Scotland Traditional Musician. She won The Scott Skinner trophy for traditional fiddler in 2001.

Adam Sutherland, a member of Croft No 5, a traditional/contemporary band, sang in many vocal competitions.

Alison Young, who won the trophy for solo singing in 1984 and1985, performs as a guest soloist and teaches singing in London.

Michelle Wealleans performed many times in the Clarsach competitions and is now making her name as a harpist.

Fiona Macleod is a pianist, and studying accompanying.

A great many others have gone on to study and make their careers in music, some teaching and some still studying.
